About Lyle Fire
The Lyle Volunteer Fire Department (officially known as Klickitat County Fire Protection District #4) responded to 134 calls last year. We are a 100% volunteer department, 29 members strong, with 26 square miles to cover.
We take pride in our training and have built a strong bond within our department to sustain the needs of this great community.
- Lyle Aid provides Basic Life Support services as a first response to medical and trauma incidents in support of Skyline Ambulance services out of Skyline Hospital in White Salmon and Dallesport, Washington. We currently have 8 EMT's and 6 First Responders to aid in the quick steps necessary for an ever important life.
- Our main fire response is focused on wildland fire, for which we have 3 active Type 6 engines. We are planning on building one more Type 3 6x6.
- At our main station, we have two pumpers that respond to structure fires, wildland fires, and MVA's (motor vehicle accidents). They also provide additional support as needed.
