Training Benefits

Continuous learning opportunities ensure firefighters, EMTs, and EMRs maintain the necessary skills, knowledge and teamwork to respond effectively to emergencies, keeping themselves and others safe by staying current on new techniques, technologies and regulations, while also promoting confidence and minimizing risks in high-pressure situations by building muscle memory through repeated practice.

Drills

Regular LFD trainings (drills) are on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30PM at the Lyle Fire Hall (unless otherwise announced). Drills are open to the public.

Special Events

Additional learning opportunities may be scheduled as they present themselves. These activities might include a training collaboration with other fire districts, burn to learn activities and wildland fire training.

Advanced Training

For interested and qualified individuals, additional training like emergency medical technician (EMT) training support may be available.
